Datsun 240/260Z

Hi,
Im looking recently for a Datsun 240Z or 260Z.
It seems they are almost all imported from the US.
Looks like the US versions are due to emissions down on BHP.
In europe they have (the 260Z) 165bhp, in the US around 140.
European have 5 spd manual box, US 4 speed manual.
But for some month and year the 260Z US versions have the 165bhp.
Does Anyone know what month year or vin US version have the 165bhp output?
Or a characteristic to know its the 165bhp one?
