Replacement H&R springs for coilovers
Replacement H&R springs for coilovers
Just wondered if anyone knows if the springs are available for H&R coil overs to purchase separately. Just had one of mine collapse on my C5 RS6 and seeing if they’re replaceable.

Re: Replacement H&R springs for coilovers
IMO, I'd bite the bullet & bin the H&R's. I went for them some years back after the DRC failed on my C5 and knowing that H&R had a good rep with their VW stuff. They were way too stiff and crashy, poor quality overall as you've found with a bust spring. Also, my Avant developed a saggy arse after less than 2 years....
Replaced them with Bilstein B14 PSS and they're WAY better with improved damping and control. The B16 PPS9 are supposedly even better but come at a higher cost.
Obviously, if you can source an H&R spring that'll be a lot more affordable but I wouldn't just be swapping out one...got to be a pair on the same axle at least.
Hope you get sorted, I really dislike not being able to drive the beastie when problems occur.
