Hi all,
New here and figured probably the best place to seek advice.
Been toying with the idea of a B8 RS4, previously had a W204 C63 & 997 C2S ...
A Nardo Grey 2013 model has come up on Fleabay at just shy of £20,000 all be it a high mileage example.
After speaking to the dealers selling it they mention it has an intermittent whining noise coming from the rear of the car, they believe it to be a wheel bearing but reading into things i know it could possibly be the diff.
If it wasn't my dream spec i probably wouldn't even consider looking, but is there any tell tell signs of what it could be on inspection (i will of course use this to strike a deal should it get to that)
Very 50/50 in the matter but it's damn tempting.
Thanks for the help in advance...

I'd walk away. I didn't even know you could get the B8 in Nardo so it will be a rare colour (if its factory paint).
2 poor photos of a car on an advert too, sounds petty but just another tell tale sign of not a genuine dealer with a genuine car.
Any dealer than says "it could be a wheel bearing" is dodgy. Why wouldn't just change the bearing and sell as it as a high mileage, high spec RS4.
It has clearly been investigated and they know it's something very expensive (my first thought was diff from what you said too)

As above, run for your life.
£20k is not cheap, £24k gets you into a good 2014 car so it’s no bargain. Plenty of good ones around
