Thinkware Dash Cams

Hi All,

Do any of you use a Thinkware dash cam or have any experience of them?
Thinking of getting the F200 model with rear cam.

Just a bit concerned about the app as it doesn't get glowing reviews, although none of the dash cam manufacturers apps get a good write up.

Any feedback gratefully received

Thanks
Mike

I have no experience with the particular dash cam but what I would say is forget the app, the most important thing is the quality of the footage that the actual dash cam records i.e. can you read number plates etc. Marketing bolox rules apply here (as they do with most cctv cameras).

Cheers Nige,

Yeah, understand what you're saying.
I want one without a screen really but would want to check on the cam to make sure its recording or doing what its meant to.
If the associated app is a pain then may as well get one with a screen.

Favourites at the moment are:
Thinkware F200
Nextbase 422GW
Kenwood DRV-A501W

I have a Thinkware Q800 Pro. The mobile app is fine and there's also a PC Viewer app.

I rarely use the live view on my mobile whilst I'm in the car as the camera's audio lets me know that recording has started when I start the engine. There's also a 'recording on' LED.

I'm currently trying to decide on a Dashcam but all the options about "Neo 6 battery" and what model to go for are a mare!!! was looking at Blackvue

Thanks Chaps.

Decided on a Nextbase 322GW & Rear view cam as a good deal came up that I couldn't refuse :)

See how I get on with that.

Cheers
Mike

Highly recommend blackvue. Totally unobtrusive and records front and rear with very good quality. I don't have a phone app and only view the footage if I'm looking for a photo of a special something.
