Stuck rubber strut mount

A van related question that I can't find on google.

I have a 2009 Vauxhall Vivaro and replaced the front struts. I also had a replacement kit for the top mounts with bearings.. When I removed the struts the top mount is stuck in the frame of the van and I have no idea how to remove it. There is a rubber flat piece with a dome on top of the strut that sits with the bearings but that fits into another rubber piece that I am trying to remove.
Any ideas would be most welcome and if anyone has an answer how difficult is it to fit the new mount in ( hopefully when I tighten the strut at the top nut all should pop in?)
Link to the mounts below;

TIA

on the vivaros the rubber will stay in place if the bearing is badly furbar and this leaves the rubber in place-,just tug at it/pry it out-it feels like its moulded to the car,but its not
you will find looking at the strut you removed it only has the centre of the bearing left on it under the nut,the outer race and balls will have gone awol
you can use a big lever and thump it from above,a few seconds removes it

make sure its jacked/on stands securely before tugging at it

have done a few of these as its a common weak point-first one i ever did was like you describe-and the odd one after that

Cheers for the reply. That was tried without removing the bonnet which left little room to apply pressure. I will remove the bonnet and try again.
Thanks for the reply :)
