Be interesting to see what they deem as an unacceptable level, I’d imagine this will affect bikers much worse than cars.

They'll have to by law post a sign where these devices are installed such as speed cameras. Just slow down and tootle by then boot it when you're out site, just as we do for speed cameras.
It's funny how there's always money to spend the 100's of 1000's £'s on speed and noise devices instead of cleaning the sh1t, stones, detritus off the roads, litter picking and mowing the weeds, grass, trees growing in the middle of motorways, fix the millions off pot holes, re surface out crappy roads etc. It's shameful. :dung:

Just wait until we get smart motorways rolled out. These tw4ats will take your reg when you enter the motorway, then take it when you leave and do and time/distance check to get your speed.

Not been on many motorways where I'm not delayed, will they give you credit if you can't maintain your speed at 70mph?

I think the latest cameras already do that, between themselves (not just 1 mile thing) def around colchester and cambridge, not sure where else.

That's been the case for a few years now. Have a read up on 'HADECS' cameras. They measure your average speed between ANY 2 cameras on a given stretch of motorway, not just 2 consecutive cameras!!
