Meanwhile, in France...

For once ‘Clarkson’ has made a valuable point.

The translation of E-Tron a.k.a. Audi’s fully electric range and to be accurate étron in French is... turd.

That should get a few smiles as you pop out of the tunnel at the English Channel. :biggrin2:

Yup, but they still call it the e-tron in France.

Toyota renamed the MR2 to MR in France because MR2 said in French sounds like emmerdeur = pain in the arse.
Daytona RS6 C5 Avant. Viper'd, Billies, Waggers, MTM box brain, C6 stoppers, xcarlink, R8 coolant cap (woohoo)
///M3 E46 | XC90 (V8, natch) | Passat GTE | RR Classic V8 flapper

Love this stuff. And we all know perhaps the most famous one of all - the Chevy Nova in South America. :nodder:
Currently running:
18 plate Lamborghini Huracan Performante (5.2l of V10 naturally aspirated craziness)
67 plate RS6 Performance (fully loaded)
66 plate Range Rover Autobiography (for wafting around)
16 plate Mini Cooper S convertible (lots of fun but rather skittish when thrashed)

Favourite car ever owned:
1971 Citroen DS21 - The Goddess (pure art on wheels)

Of course, not forgetting the Mitsubishi Starion.

So called when a Japanese executive called by phone to tell the US plant managerial team the new car was to be called ‘Stallion’ just like the Ford Mustang. The chap had a rather thick accent and his English wasn’t the best, hence STARION ha-so... :biggrin2:
