Long story short, Wife sadly wrote off our 2012 Unicorn spec Cayenne Turbo a month after I bought it in June.
She daily drives my old RS6, I am stuck with the pretty well broken Old Shogun, aka the Dog transporter.
I really liked the look of the high spec Panameras when I was shopping for the Cayenne but resisted the urge to testdrive one. The Cayenne we had, had ungodly handling, the PDCC and Torque Vectoring+ absolutely put the old RS6 to shame. Where we knew the roads/roundabouts, knew the limits of the 6 and would she would be skittering around close to her traction limits, the Cayenne was just grip, grip and a side order of grip with virtually no body roll for good measure, it was utterly baffling and addictive.
The Cayenne was something else to be sitting inside, felt beautifully luxurious, but with logic and function behind everything in there. Yes, too many buttons perhaps but you got used to it and I loved the panoramic roof.
The current RS6 isn't going anywhere anytime soon and that is where the problem lies. I have something in my head that is telling me that it would be stupid to have for the old beast and a C7 on the driveway, that I should have something that it different (well as far as different make etc., you know what I mean)
Just to clarify, I haven't driven either of these yet. I have my eye on a specific Panamera Turbo S for sale and potentially a specific C7 RS6, both at around the 42k mark.
If anyone has any (comical or otherwise) views, I would appreciate them, cheers
