Fault code P2004

Post by standard rs4 » Mon Aug 06, 2018 11:23 pm

Hi all I have got a fault code coming up P2004 intake manifold runner control stuck open bank 1.
Is there any chance that if I used wynns dip3 intake cleaner that it would sort out the problem ?
If not what can be done to sort it out apart from the costly route of decarbon and deflap ?
As my name on here says standard rs4 so I do want to try to keep it that way as it is a very straight car.

Sorry I should have also said that it is a B7 done 70k.
As far as I am aware always used the correct fuel, it has for sure for the last 2 years that I have owned it.

Result in fixing. Is this all you've had to address in 2 years ?

Hi Gary no I wish it was but it has been a very good car. I have had to replace the front discs and pads what I knew about when I bought it, and then a oil leak from a hose going to the oil cooler what then led to both hoses and a oil cooler last year and a set of tyres this year, so I am pretty happy with it. It has been very well looked after only one previous owner from new.
