No, the way I read it, you've still got to replace the engine because they 'enjoyed' it... drench.

The way I read it was it was p/x'd to them and they were 'enjoying the engine' when it went bang.

Now they are trying to sell it on as a project rather than a full working car.

Would be interesting to know how long they have had the car for since it was p/x'd to them.

Haha, I assumed they received it like that but but re-reading it after reading the comments above you might be right that they blew it up themselves.

Ex forum car, I think the engine blew quite some time back iirc, this car has been floating around for a while now

The dealer was putting the car through it's paces prior to sale. He does that, i've got no problem with him doing that - i'd rather it went bang in his hands than mine as a potential buyer a week later!

Incidentally, he's a proper car enthusiast. I've just bought a rather lovely C7 RS6 from him (and px/d my RS4).
