Just bought the Mrs a Approved Audi TT, 2ltr Black Edition, MY13. Non Nav.
Now it has Bluetooth & that works for calls great.
It has iPod prep, with a small connection in the glovebox.
She wants to play her music from her iPhone. However, I popped back to the dealership today & the parts guys couldn't find a Audi connector to lightening cable for my vehicle.
Does anyone know which lead I need from Audi, or where I can get one from i.e.; Amazon etc??
Oh & I've got a Brodit holder for the iPhone
Cheers in advance
Iggy
iPod - iPhone 8 & X connection
Re: iPod - iPhone 8 & X connection
I suspect that the TT input will only take an analogue input from the 30pin apple connector. The lightning connector doesn't have an analogue output, only digital. You will either need an Apple 30pin to lightning adapter (get a genuine one if you get one) or a clunky cable similar to this which takes the analogue output from the headphone jack... which you no longer have on the recent iPhones (thanks, Apple):

So that would mean even more connectors.
Either that or an upgrade of the AMI system which could be a bit involved.
/Just come across this which might do what you want:

Thanks for the reply.
I'll try the Apple 30 pin to Lightening.

Re: iPod - iPhone 8 & X connection
Worked great! Genuine Apple 30pin to lightning, with aftermarket lightning to lightning extension. As the Apple lead is only 20cm long!!
