Strong as an Ox

Post by House89 » Fri Apr 27, 2018 7:45 pm

Time for a little tinker. My C6 RS6 needed a bit more grunt.

I use The Phirm for all my work normally but they don’t yet have the software available to map the box although they’re investing in it soon.
So after some long talks with Tim about our options we decided the best course of action was MRC for their stage 2 package. So up to Banbury I trundled!!

Can’t believe that in standard trim after 92k miles it pulled 583bhp and 520 ft/lbs.

Strong as an Ox!!!!

Stage 2 715BHP and 720ft/lbs

It’ll do for a bit!!!

Bonkers power. I'm guessing you could feel the difference afterwards?
Daytona RS6 C5 Avant. Viper'd, Billies, Waggers, MTM box brain, C6 stoppers, xcarlink, R8 coolant cap (woohoo)

Yeah it’s alright!!! Haha!!

In all seriousness it’s pretty disgusting!!

But it makes you think what a Bugatti Veryron is like as that has nearly 2.5 times the torque per tonne!!!

Did you get your secondary cats removed too? Easy way to unlock a bit more torque and power.

Great results nonetheless.

Not yet. Talking with Tim about that and custom downpipes.

Nice, I’m thinking of them too. But bang to buck don’t know whether it’s worth it.

If you go down that route, next port of call would be the gearbox upgrade via REP/ sport mile to take full advantage and then TTE turbos and so on.

Hard to resist but you soon into double digits xx,000. With your down pipes etc you’ll be pretty high 7xx anyway.

Will be good to see what gains you make!

Yeah the box is always my concerns!!

I’m deciding how I want to play it at the moment, not sure if I want to push hard for more and more power or just rather do things that make it safe and reliable around the 750-800 mark.

I’ve flaunted the law enough this afternoon to put me in prison so........how much does one need!!!!!
