Bloody tyre fitters

Post by SimonS4MTM » Fri Apr 06, 2018 7:38 pm

So dropped my summer wheels off today to have 4 x MPS4's fitted, after cleaning them up an ceramic coating them. Following a long conversation around balancing weight position to ensure they were on the inner edge away from view I collected them to find that all 4 have marks of them from either tyre levers of machines.

Not happy - I noticed at the time of collection that one wheel had a mark which when questioned they said they would take the wheel away for re-furb, I sad no and that I would get it done and give them the bill. Since getting home I now see that all 4 have marks.

Such a pain the arse.

Typical!! It’s never with the winter wheels either is it!! It’s always the good wheels it happens to!!

I know the horse has bolted but my tyre fitters always uses these when doing my wheels. For a £5 it’s worth having some in the boot to give to any fitter working on the car.

Always inspect all wheels before leaving. If you had seen one, why not check the others ?

I always take my wheels to a small independent tyre place these days. Saves the hassle of having some 16yr old drop out doing them at Quick fit or similar.
