Re: Interesting gadget
They've been about for a few years, but If you get caught using one of those in the uk, you will get well and truly roasted in court.
I remember a couple of year's back, there was a guy in the paper that had something similar on his car and was caught on a speed camera (or rather not caught) and the police used the motorway camera recordings further down the road to identify the car by the number plate that was then showing as he wasn't speeding. Subsequently, they took a visit to his house and found his car had a similar device fitted, which ended up in court. He got a 12 months suspended prison sentence, but his virtually brand new Range Rover sport was confiscated and crushed

Re: Interesting gadget
It's a shame the Police don't make as much effort catching and courts dishing out such consequences to real criminals. This device was available on ebay.

Re: Interesting gadget
My son got done a few weeks ago for having a front flip plate. Nothing to do with avoiding speed cameras as he has a fixed rear plate. only had the plate retracted when at shows or parked.
Re: Interesting gadget
I wonder what attracted their attention to his car.
What was the outcome?
