They can supposedly scan the code from the key - you can buy a wallet which shields against this off Amazon and the like

The kit they use is called an ‘amplifier’-basically it boosts the signal and grabs the code off your keys (makes the car think the key is sending the signal). Video shows one of the scrotes ping the disclok just as No1 scrote was about to wand around the door. Hence they just walk away as otherwise they’d have to force entry and deal with disklok.
RFID blocking bags (or place keys in fridge or similar blocking container) and also physical security seem to be best defence currently.

The only ones that are supposed to be effective are the ones that completely surround the steering wheel. They are such a royal pain so put on and take off and store, though.
