Is this B7 overpriced ?

Post by ThermalP4 » Sun Jul 02, 2017 1:21 pm

Hi guys.

Was just after some opinions on the pricing of this car I've seen on Autotrader.

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... 5045090166

Overpriced?

Thanks.

It's worth what someone is willing to pay, if you want a b7 to put in your museum and never drive then i suppose someone will pay it, that's some big bucks that's for sure

it doesnt do them any good to be lying around-a fairly complex unit with lots of relays, vacuum units etc-better used than stood

as above as an investment maybe-but as a car to use buy one at half the price with 100k on it and a few marks so you can improve on it and not be terrified every time you drive it...30k is also b8 rs4 money
all imho of course

I'd pay £30k for sub 20k miles if I wanted it as a keeper and didn't pan to use it often. Great cars.

Some good points there.

Problem is it wouldnt be a keeper for me as I like to change every 6-12 months so I'd probably lose a lot of money on it.

Same as the Sepang C6 RS6 in ASM motors on here. £33k and it's been there ages. Probably won't sell at that price either.

I've always wanted both but it seems once you bring low miles into it they just jump up £5-7k.

If you only plan to keep it for 6-12months what's the point in looking for a low mileage car? With practically any of them you could easily need to put £2-10k in to keep them pristine. You'd be better getting an avalerage to high mileage car that's had some of the big ticket items done recently. Then just drive and enjoy. 8)

yep, this is a great buy for a long term keeper with weekend use

other than that, buy a 70k car
