I'm over in Austria and did not bring my registration papers with me. Anyone know if I can get a copy online? I have looked but can't seem to find anything.

Cheers.

Afraid not mate, looks like you have to send off to the DVLA for replacement papers, which I'm guessing won't be feasible. Have you got your license with you?

Bloody jobsworths. Is it an on-the-spot fine? I have ignored many fines from EU countries in the past and they have never caught up with me.

It is. Can't leave until you pay. Otherwise no one would pay.

Any at home that can Fedex it to you? Although what are the chances of getting another fine?

So almost back in uk soil and no more fines for missing rego papers. I did however get flashed a couple of times, once in Germany and once in France. Will these find there way back home? And if so do the points come back ff you license also? I really hope not because they will not be cheap.

It's pretty unlikely. I don't believe there's a reciprocal agreement between either France or Germany. If it's not a ridiculously excessive speed I can't see them persuing it.

In France you have the right not to denounce the driver which means that if the photographic evidence doesn't unequivocally identify you then you can refuse to say who was driving. In this case you have to pay the fine, but there are no other penal consequences.

Not sure about Germany.

I am 99.8 percent sure that they will see it's a foreign car and just bin it.
