...I'm getting new wheels on the wifey mobile!!
Very pleased with these lightweight Neuspeed wheels, so had to take a few pics before they get mangled. Ignore the lack of centre caps - waiting for some VW ones to arrive rather than fit the Neuspeed ones.

I had Brembo 18z calipers (6 pots from cayenne/Q7) fitted to the GTi along with merc 350mm discs, and R32 rear brakes. Only problem was the wheels would only clear the calipers with 12mm spacers = massive amounts of rubbing on the arch. I say rubbing; driving along a rough road sounded like the front arches were being attacked by an angry leprechaun with a hammer. Had to drive carefully looking out for potholes and bumps.
Anyway, looking for wheels that'd clear the brakes I stumbled across some other Neuspeed wheels, but preferred the look of these (RSe11) and sent them a scale drawing of the calipers which they cut out and tried in a wheel the same afternoon to confirm they'd clear. I've got to say that the customer service from Neuspeed was fantastic. Had the wheels shipped from the US via Awesome Gti - was expecting it to take weeks, but they only took about 10 days.
The new brakes are epic, and the car is a pleasure to drive once again
