Potential RS4 B8 Car Jacking......

To be clear this could have been a potential car jacking I cannot be certain...
So a week into ownership and I am surprised at how much positive attention the RS4 gets especially due to its stealthy appearance. Not like my M2 which is very 'in your face' gets about the same or even less attention!
However tonight I had my first dose of what I am guessing negative attention...
I was driving on the M5 north and stopped off at Frankley Services on the outskirts of Birmingham so my wife and daughter could pop in. I stayed in the car waiting for them to return. I was parked towards the edge of the car park (as I usually do so that it doesn't get bumped by other cars) so it was quite dark.
After about 10 minutes I noticed that a thin guy with a baseball cap was running straight to me past all the other cars in the carpark. He started speaking to me and gesturing through the window for me to wind down.
Now - before you judge me I know I could have done things better from this point on but autopilot kicks in...
I wind the window down slightly and he starts telling me about this story where his van has run out of diesel, was in the petrol station and he has no money to refuel and no phone so is stranded. Instead of asking me for some money so he can refuel he asks if he can jump in the back so I can give him a lift to Wolverhampton or 'just off junction 10 M6'. I say no way, due to not knowing him and for him to find another solution. I then start to get a bit worried remembering some stories of car jacking. I then realised that he approached no other cars (where people were also in their cars) closer to the service station before he came to me... alarm bells!!!!
He then asked if i could lend him some money for fuel and to give him my address so he can send me back a 'tenner'. He starts playing around with his Burberry style cap looking really nervous. I just want him out of my life and should have just driven off as fast as I could however my wife and daughter were still in the services. I decide to give him some change and passed it over to him, he then insisted on passing him my address on multiple occasions... My wife and daughter finally came back and got in the car, so I just told him to do one. He then asked how far away do you live? So I said very, very far! And bolted right out of there before he could think... I then noted that there was no 'Van' in their petrol station which he mentioned to me earlier...
As you can imagine I moved quite quickly and we kept an eye out for any followers.... to which there were none to our knowledge.
If you are in the Birmingham area be careful RS owners.....
