Any tips? Some tasty roads in West Sussex I seem to recall. Down to Alton maybe and then across?

Tips? Go early to avoid traffic.
In all seriousness, if you go via Alton, make sure you hit the B2141, it's a great road, there is a video in the trackdays and meets thread of a group of us from here hooning it around that area. Was a great drive! I am jealous
Here is a possible route, sorry for the massive link I don't know how to hyperlink on here.

Thanks Simon - looks great. I'm going down to see a mate there, go usually 3 or 4 times a year. The M25 / A24 is dull so I'll give this a try

As Simon suggests that's a nice route which we took recently at the Boxhill drive out, especially when it's a busier time of day. If driving at a quieter time, then the A272 makes for a nicer drive than the motorway's as well. Perhaps try each, one there and the other back.
This is the route I'd choose out of Worthing to include the A272:

Cheers for the suggestions lads! In the end, I went:
Basingtoke > Alton > some random but wonderful road thrown up by the sat nav > A3 > A27. The dual carriage way sections were amongst the highlights, especially around Chichester-ish. There were several other enthusiastic cars swapping places. Blatting through the gears in a mixture of Sport and Sport+. Sublime, loud and slidey

. I will never, ever forget the immature over-runs.
Coming back, was a little less adventurous - went A24 then at Dorking turned onto the A25 to Guildford. I've used that road before, didn't disappoint but traffic was a bit heavier.
Anyway, it was the best and last real run out in the Cayman. It's now been sold back to the OPC. Simply immense but a compromise too far. Not sure what next....weirdly, I can't stop searching for B8's...

There's a joke here with Master and B8s but it's not coming.
