i have two option.

1. £14,000 2007 b7 rs4 114,000 miles and some works already dont ie bilsteins, the coolers and a few pipes ect ect and i think alot of service details

2. £16,800 2006 b7 rs4 87,000 miles basically standard and full service history

i would rather option one in that i have more funds to do a little moddying ie i want 20" rims ect but is this milage an issue? the second option is lower milage of course but more money and less for me to mod

I AM AFTER HONEST ADVICE, which do you think please

On the face of it knowing nothing about spec or condition I'd go 1.

oh and the second one is a dealer with 6 month aa warranty

both mint condition, both seem to have same spec, its more the milage thing i think im worried about

LOL i agree but its a dealer so cant wait for that option, first is a private seller. So is that milage too high in your opinion even though the suspension has been done along with coolers ect ect

I don't tent to keep my cars more than a year or so, so yes. Its too high for me as moving it on with more miles has a limited market.

If its a keeper for you and if your situations changes and you wont need to sell it in a hurry, go for it.

But if its a stretch, id get a lower mile sorted one.

Its a keeper, not planning on buying anything for a very long time

What one have you bought then?

If it's a keeper then option 1. Option 2 will possibly need a lot more than £3k spending on it if you stick with drc and replacing the cooler. Has either been carbon cleaned? That mileage on both would want doing

To be fair they are both the cheaper end of the market. They might be ok, but equally could cost you thousands straight away. It's always a gamble so it's worth trying to get something that at least appears to have been cherished. Receipts showing how much the previous owners have spent and whether they've done the smallest of things at first sight is a great indicator. Mileage really isn't an issue, there are many high performing cars at well over 200k miles. B7's included. I know someone with a regular tracked M3GT2 at over 200k. EVO had a review of a 160k mile track day hire Lambo. I watched a video the other day about a 400k mile E55 AMG. Loads of E46 M3's. Highly modded B5 S and RS4's over 200k. Basically if they are maintained well (and I don't just mean a dealer service stamp) they will last. Good luck, great cars and you'll love one, I'm sure. But anyone buying these cars needs to keep a little fund aside for things that may crop up, they're not cheap cars to maintain and hence why there are a load of dogs about. Thankfully the B7, being N/A is one of the cheaper RS' to maintain. Go in eyes wide open.

Yeah started off as RS42017 as it confused me as there was another new member called RS4xxxx then it was Wayne then W.
