Another day another monstrosity

Post by stevo55 » Sun Jun 26, 2016 10:12 am

A1 Spotted outside Starbucks St Albans. Wtf is going on with those wheels? 'Turbo'?! Image Also looked like it had an RS3 front grille on it and was so lowered am sure speed bumps are a joy. 'Static Scene' may be a music group (I had to look it up) but not too sure why they need whores though. The A1 is quite a nice car to drive, why do people feel a need to make an abortion of theirs?

That's a weird setup! A relatively expensive car devalued by half with some very weird Stickers!

It seems the lowered scene is now about being unique and different rather than what looks good for the most part.

Those wheels are verein sport club ones = actually very expensive (£750+ a corner). Not sure why you'd stick ronal turbo Stickers on - they look a bit similar I guess...

How much?! A lot of the expensive alloys actually look like they're worth the money but those look like Halfords specials. Money can't buy you taste and class as witnessed daily in toilets like Knightsbridge....

You can blames Jules for those wheels. He had a set on his ever-popular on the scene B7. And I think they are the current wheels on his massivley popular widebody.
I'ts only natural that the most famous B7 and B5 on the scene will get copied. And the A1 / S1 is very popular on the modified / lowered / stance scene, probably because it is the entry level Audi that the younger generation of modders can afford before moving on to the bigger cars.

Think your right there mate. We have just got an A1 for the Mrs, 1.4 turbo stronic s line. Very nice car. First steps were to remove the window tint, wheels back to silver as oposed to black. Then silver badges and re-resonate the exhaust. Once back to standard the car looks mint and has gone up in value. We got that one as it was very well looked after and only round the corner

+ 1. Due to getting smashed in the recession I rented cars for two years while still working abroad (bit daft paying for a nice car that was basically an expensive porch ornament 9 months of the year but you live and learn). I had an A1 for a month and loved it, really nice little car that just needed more power (no doubt sorted by the S1 now).

That 6 wheel Merc is often parked up near the Saudi embassy, next to a matching gold rolls royce.

I'd hate to live in Knightsbridge as you'd spend a fortune on a place there only to have no peace from knobbers driving around at high speed and revving their engines. Have stayed there at numerous times over the past few years and it's noisy as hell and the people are just nasty.
