HID bulb replacement

Hi Guys,
So I've bought some HID replacement bulbs and ballasts for my 996 and while they're on their way thought I'd ask people's opinions on them?
It appears they might not pass an MOT, but the lights come out in about 12 seconds so if I have to replace them during the mot, no issues.
So will the dazzle people etc? Do I need to set them up somehow?
