Tinted Number Plates

To you guys with tinted plates - does you find they cause any unnecessary attention from the plod? Can you pass an MOT with them on?

I've had German plates in the past and was stopped a couple of times, with one fine. I went with pressed plates in UK font on the RS, but tinted plates on a black car look pretty good.

Faisal... you've seen mine... not had any attention from the plod but it's not MOT compliant. Looks good though lol :)
Too much power is barely enough.

Hey mate, yeah seeing your cars is what got me thinking about this! :thumbs:

Where did you get yours from? Seen some ebay sellers but the plates they're selling look as if they might be too dark.

I don't mind swapping for MOT time.
