Going out for lunch this afternoon with the wife and little un, I found myself going from a single carriageway onto a clear dual carriageway so I booted it for a couple of stretches of carriageway between roundabouts and gave it some round the roundabouts too.
Then I saw the flashing blue lights behind me.
This policeman was going mental at me and scaring my daughter in the back cos he said I was doing 8omph in a 60. It was clear dry weather with not a sigle other car in sight ahead of me (I didn't overtake a single car).
He was telling me he could do me for furious driving which apparently means I'd loss my license and never get it back.
Then he let me go with the warning that as I was local he was sure to me again and he'd be keeping an eye on me.
So I looked it up. Looks like it is a law from the 1800s for horsedrawn carriages that cause bodily harm to people. Where do they find these people?
