Difficulty replacing CV boot on RS6 C5??

Hello all,

I Left the RS6 at the garage yesterday to replace the drivers side CV boot. Had a call from the garage today to say they're finding it difficult to replace the CV boot as they risk breaking/snapping the lower control arms under tension whilst removing, they maybe seized??

They did ask if I was happy to proceed and if it does snap/break under tension then it'll mean alot extra cost and time.

I pulled out and thought I'd seek the advice of fellow RS6 owners before going any further.

What to do? Anybody experience the same? If they do snap, what would the costs be? Will they even break easily? Is this common for control arms to be bery difficult to remove and be seized??

Any input would be much appreciated
