As my DRC failed and work is slack I've been looking at coilovers and then got carried away. This can adjust bound and rebound actively. So, you can change settings from inside the car as well as setting it up to change settings with a g-force sensor ie under breaking harden up the fronts, on cornering harden up the compressed side etc.

I've though of two probs.....

1. Need to make an adapter to attach to the KW adjusters.
2. The difference between the turn amount from softest to hardest setting between the KW's and Tein's.

One is just mechanical fittings and can sort that out and the potential for different adjuster amount can be sorted with some sort of inline electrical magnifier or reducer of the signal sent from the Tein control unit.

Anyone see any more issues with combining the two or know if the system just sucks? Even if the active adjustments can't be made to work, I think in car adjustment would be great.

Edit: Tein stuff http://www.tein.co.uk/product/edfc_active.html

Does sound good. You'll need to pro kit to do lateral and longitudinal for cornering and breaking. Bilstein do one for Porsche and Datsun GT-R's but nothing for us :( It's called damptronic. Of course no Tein coilovers for us either hence the mod idea.

You can also get it on bilstein kits - something worth thinking about instead of Tein

What do you mean? They make a coilover with electronic adjustment or they do a version of edfc? If so do you have a link?

As far as I know its only an option on certain B16 kits - called iRC. Not sure which model you have though.

That's the system I mentioned in the 3rd post. Only for Datsun GT-R and Porsche.

I can't work it out. Best I can see is if a car has internal adjustment from factory. In any event, I couldn't find anything to fit a B7 RS4 like I and FaisalJ have.

So I've found some images of kw v3's but unsure if they are for the b7 and found a bump in the road, maybe.....

Can anyone confirm the adjusters on the b7 look like these?

I'll need to make adapters or have them made up but the 'bump' is mounting to the shock body tube. It's not like I can weld a bracket on there........? Cable ties? Lots of cable ties!!!? Image

They are cable driven extensions and may help with attachment and tight areas if they come up.
