Has anyone heard an rs4 B7 without back boxes, I currently have an X-pipe installed and have my car booked in for Thursday to have straight pipes, but I'm just wondering what people think and how loud it might actually be?

Are you talking about having pre-cats, OEM cats, no centre resonator and no rear back boxes? With no valves? If so you'll need an understanding family and no neighbours, I'd imagine. When I had no pre-cats, OEM cats, no centre resonator and Tubi back boxes, I couldn't hold a conversation in the car without shouting.

That sounds pretty crazy. Well I still have cats and pre cats intact, it would just be x pipe (non Res) and straight pipes, 2.5" all the way. I mean I like loud, but just trying to gauge how loud.

If straight pipes are louder than my old Tubi back boxes it will be too loud. However, I do recall MRC saying that my Tubi was louder than an RS4 with no exhaust at all so it may be a bit quieter.

The sound would be astonishing, very NASCAR. Removing the back boxes would make it very very loud, when I bought my car it had a straight through system without any cats and non valved back boxes, it was loud and crude to say the least.

Doesn't help as there are a load of 4's in that video! I recognise the LIG number plate as Louie's saloon, but I can't tell whose is whose with the other 3 Avants.
