Anyone used or thought about using one of these?
http://www.snooper.co.uk/snooper-dvr-3hd.html
Seems it covers all the bases - camera detection/warnings, camera recording whilst car is parked and camera recording for accidents and mappable to Google maps..
I like the idea of recording 'incidents' parked or not parked but not keen on idea of all my journeys being logged and mapped with telemetry to google...

Wow that looks like a seriously good bit of kit. Be interesting to see whether it's compromised at all (lens/resolution/quality) compared to a straight-up, same-priced dash cam?
Seriously thinking about fitting a dash cam after a relative was driven into whilst stationary by another car, country road in the middle of nowhere, no witnesses, only for a witness statement 'to appear' 8 months after the event backing up the other driver. Despite the fact that it doesn't affect me personally and my relative was not injured in the slightest, it has made me extremely angry. Dash cam would have sorted the insurance claim out in the first 48 hours!

It's a shame the mount is so ugly/large. It looks well specc'd. Have you looked on
YouTube etc for video quality (especially at night where most cameras suffer)
I use a Blackvue and the quality during the day is exceptional, and at night is still very good indeed. GPS is accurate and video (like the Snooper) can be exported with a google map overlayed on top, showing speed etc.

That's all well and good Ross, but what's the ring video quality like!

I agree about the mount being ugly... Guess the draw of this is that it records when parked (upon motion activation) plus it has speed camera alerts.
Think I need to do more research!

The blackvue also does parked mode (IE, someone shunts your door in a car park it records what it can see, hopefully getting the crim in shot). Doesn't do speed cameras tho but then I don't speed. Officer.
