Anyone used Inforad camera detectors?

There seem to be two options K3 and v4e. The only difference I can tell (besides size) is the K3 has c4 hours internal battery and the v4e has c.8 hours. Not an issue either way if it's hardwired though.
Free database updates or a 'premium' option for £2.99 a month, including HADECS stealth locations.
Any info would be great, cheers.

tomtom app on phone does it for me. I don't want anything else in the cabin really. It's why I put off getting stuff like Target BluEye.
(Not that Target Blueye will work after 2017 anyway - and £1000 is too much for 2 years of cover imo).

funny they don't mention anything about 2017 on their website as far as I can see

Of course they dont. Why would they actively stop people signing up to £1k's worth of product?
No point telling people it'll be defunct when TETRA is switched off - then people wont buy it

haha very true, i just thought they would sort of have to mention it or face loads of disgruntled customers in a couple of years threatening action etc etc. glad you mentioned that though as i was tempted in getting one

Aye. I looked at one myself as I'm the safety conscious type as you know...

Subject: Removal of Tetra
Hi guys
With the impending ceasing of airwave/tetra, how will your products cope with this? I was looking into buying this from you but not if it wont work in 18 months time as airwave is no longer in use.
Thanks
Ross
I didn't bother phoning for a chat about it but gave up on the idea instead.

I use an inforad K3... Seems pretty accurate and plugs into the armrest cubby quite neatly. If u turn volume up and lift armrest up slightly you can hear it fine .. Plus added benefit of being cheap and out of sight.

If I had the K3, I think I'd mount it up near the rear view mirror. The v4e needs to be on the dash really I think.
They seem a good low cost option.

Not heard of the Target Blueye, but at £1k and obsolete in 18 months

Interesting article! Sounds like another ball up and it'll still be live for another 5 years!
