Hi I was hoping for some advice and help regarding purchasing my first RS4 . I have been offered a lovely 2007 RS4 Saloon in sprint blue with 35k on the clock , The car has partial service history and has not been serviced for the last 6 years or so due to the owner hardly using it . I have looked up the common faults on here and have noticed the following. The exhaust/Vacuum flaps in the exhaust are stuck in the open position and are seized, The car is nearly needing brake discs and pads all round, It has a faulty tyre pressure sensor, I`m not sure if there is an issue with the DRC. With the above mentioned what sort of price should the seller be asking for it ?. Any help/advice would be appreciated, Thanks in advance A.P

Do they have all the MOT's to substantiate the mileage?

I wouldn't bother. These cars need driven. The same oil has been lying in it for the last 6 years? <beep> that. Plenty out there with good histories and more mileage.

If I was to purchase the car it would be straight into Audi for a service . I know the person who has owned it and I know it hasn't been used hardly

No oil change for 6 years would bother me too much. I'd rather get a car with higher mileage that has had regular servicing.

I think that it’s very easy to get lured in by the very low mileage. If it hasn't had any of the usual work done i.e. Brakes, Tyres, DRC, Oil Cooler, Aux Rads, TPMS sensors etc etc then you could expect those to need replacing within your ownership. So budget accordingly.

Ideally the car should be serviced regardless of its usage, as it just demonstrates an intention to care for the vehicle. Take this car currently for sale as an example:

Serviced at 5, 9, 13, 15, 17, 19, 21, 23 & 25k miles.

Poverty maintenance spec

But to answer your question, if it was mint with full SH id say it could be worth up to 25k, so with no service history and i bet lots of faults id pay 20 max. That 5k will soon get eaten up.

Tell him to service his car next time, not driving doesnt mean you dont service. I bet its a stinker with loads wrong. He spent at least 40k on that to not spend 500 a year on a service?

Nah, doesnt add up

Who pissed on your slippers? Nothing stopping them from doing that but they're quite a reputable specialist, one of mine has been sold through them twice.

Any update on whether you purchased the car AP9182?
If so, how much for and have you fallen into a world of expense or pleasure since acquiring?

No offence taken; the history on that car was everything you could ask for and fully documented. The owner truly cherished it.
