Porsche Driving Experience

Has anyone done one of these:
http://www.porsche.com/silverstone/en/e ... xperience/
And is it worth it? I've tried some of the "supercar driving experiences" in the past and for the most part they turn out to be supercrap, but maybe Porsche will have cars that aren't bags of nails held together with chewing gum.
Ta!

You get a day there when you buy a new Porsche now. Cars are tip top.
They have two tracks plus a skid pan with a kick plate and a few other bits.
I had a fantastic time hooning around, you get one on one instruction from someone who knows the cars very well, an ex Cup driver in my case.
Now the paid events look a little different, but I cannot see them being any less fun. Though you do have a narrow choice of cars. However that does include GT3 4.0 and GT2!
It's a lovely facility. I'd recommend it.

Did this last year when we bought our Cayman s, the whole facility at silverstone is brilliant, especially the track aspects.
You get to cover a whole range of things in the car from full track driving to launch control and testing out how good the brakes really are, kick plate is great fun too
Well worth it imo, I'll be going again later in the year for the Macan.

Done it twice - one of the best experience days
If they can sense you know what you are doing they just let you crack on.
I think I actually made my first instructor sick at the end of the day after going round the handling circuit for ages-I never saw him again

Think I'll have to come down and try this, I've heard so many good things about it. Maybe it'll help me to get a bit more out of my own car as I'm a bit tentative with it.
Cost?

Holly Sheet! That's like shagging 2 high-class hookers only to have Scarlett Johansson burst into the room insisting that you finish up inside her third door...
The only way that could be better (for me) is GT2 RS, followed by GT3 RS 3.8 then the 4 litre... and a titwank from Christina Hendricks.

I wonder if they do group discounts... Perhaps they'll throw in Christina.
I'm no fan of Porsche, but the 997 GT3 RS was bloody impressive to drive on the track. Totally understood why people rave about them.
