I'm one for Ctek aswell. Used it for years on various vehicles without a single problem

I've used the optimate for years. Excellent conditioner and trickle charger

Worked fine on the RS4 when I had it

I used an Accumate for years on an old tvr I used to garage over the winter ;
Quite cheap, but does everything you need, and you can get a cigarette lighter charger for it, so you charge the car through the lighter socket

Graeme, you mean you run it without trailing wires to an external socket and all the wiring can then be contained within the car itself? If so, that's gla great product.

haha, yeah, it'd be amazing if the battery charges the battery
I always found connecting the charger into the battery terminals a pain in the arse if you just want to get in and go and then park it back up, so having the car end of the charger plug into the cigarette lighter is an easy solution
I assume the Audi electrics will allow it to charge the battery through the Lighter port as the TVR was very simply wired, but Audi's tend to be a bit more complex ?
This is the part ;
