What are the downsides of having a cat d car.......???
I should make this clear ...this is my bitch which has had a bang and because of the age it looks as though she is going to be written off. Not my fault and not an RS I might add just a common little Clio :bash:
So I have 3 options
A take full insurance val (insurance made a mistake as I am the 3rd party I am not really allowed this on their t&cs but as they told me this they are allowing it)
B take slightly lower val and buy back car and fix it
C don't claim

1. If someone hits you, you entitled to a full claim for the value of the market price 3rd party or not and the other side pays
2. If it's a good car and you don't care about the resale value (mind you have already been paid for its value) and you can fix it and still be quids in then do it
3. Why would you not claim against the person who hit your car!!!

It's not like it's anything special!? Let them do you a favour and scrap it, take the money and buy something else. Buy an Audi A2 or just use your RS6/M3. Hope you weren't injured in the bump!

Ha had a cat d bike and it was really hard to sell! Even dealers didn't want to touch it! Ended up with a friendly dealer taking it for 2/3rd the cost. That was just a stolen recovered, not even damaged!

Take the cash, buy something else.
