audi rs6 c6 oil level sensor? common problem??

Hi guys I've not had my rs6 long but lately oil light comes on but I check the level and all is fine. Is this a common fault and just a case of getting it replaced or can they be fixed?

Common problem on numerous Audis. Can only be swapped along with an oil change fyi

Yes it's common. £479 or there abouts for new one.

I just had mine replaces, originally thought it was the oil separator and braided pipes (1,355 plus VAT) turned out to be oil sensor and was charged 375 + VAT. Mind you all under warranty

Yeah had mine done when I bought it under warranty thank god!! Was about £1k fitted I think
