Hunter Hawkeye Elite 4 wheel alignment...

Just arrived back after having my RS4 4 wheel alignment checked - some very, very minimal adjustments as it wasn't far off.

I tried MTMC in Tonbridge (http://www.mtmctyres.co.uk) - they have the latest Hunter Hawkeye Elite system. Very diligent and careful with the car and spent enough time getting all settings 'in the green'.

Can't tell any difference but £90 all in it was good peace of mind and worth getting it all 'bang-on' so to speak...

Had mine done at MRC (not hunter but beissbarth which is supposed to be equivalent) - transformed the car tbh!

Yes, Beissbarth same difference. Mine, as you can see wasn't far out - it always drove pretty tight. But the hour it took was peace of mind...

It's nice to drive a car that's going where you point it

Ah I'm so glad you guys are talking about this! Nobody seems to think that alignment and wheel balancing are really fine adjustments! The difference between a wheel balanced at quickfit and a race balance are huge! Up to a tonne it might not matter but anything over a tonne it's massively noticeable.

Makes a huge difference having the car set up correctly

This^

The guy today even closed the shutters to the workshop and turned off the ventilation system for 15 minutes to allow the air to settle - apparently the system is so sensitive. He wanted to get everything as close to '0 +/- tolerance' as possible.

Having the notion to do it is one thing, having someone who gives a sh*t and see's an RS as something other than an A4 is another...

Good luck Jay - if it's out initially, when it comes back it should drive absolutely on point...
