Peak District routes...

Morning all, I am going to be in Mansfield on Sunday & was thinking of driving up to Manchester the day before to catch up with a client. It doesn't take a genius to note the best route from Manchester to Mansfield is via the Peak District. Does anyone know these roads well & would anyone recommend a particular route for a spirited drive with some stunning views?

The top bit of the A515 Buxton to Ashbourne is pretty good! Some lovely open sections and plenty of overtaking places.

You could link it with the A5004 from the A6 (around New Mills) to Buxton past the Errwood Reservoir - one of the TSN Buxton meets visited there many years ago, 2006 I think a month after I bought the 205

You don't want to go on lanes too narrow in an RS4 on 20s (and spacers!)

Nice work Ian. As for the rims, they're fooked anyway with some replacements lined up in the coming months. A few nicks here & there won't matter now.

:)

That is one of the key things to watch out for.. Cumbria love their mobile speed camera vans, they scatter them every where
