Basically sits alongside your car insurance and guarantees your car will be repaired by an Audi authorised repairer if it is in an accident, and Audi will pay any difference.
It's free, so can't complain.

This is just a simple claims management scheme most vehicle manufacturers have in place. As a consumer you have a right to get your vehicle repaired with whomever you choose, and I suppose not all people are aware of their consumer rights. All they do is finance the claim before it's technically settled with the third party, run up the bill and claim it themselves.
Sytner do the same. I had a Royal Mail Van run up the back of my old R32 in slow moving traffic. They carry accident report sheets, so she filled one out, admitted blame and I took it round to VW and they gave me a new 330 Vert on a 'like for like' until the repairs were done.
I remember the third party solicitor trying to give me some grief in a couple legal type letters, scaring me about what I'd engaged Sytner to do, but they told me to ignore it.
The vehicle hire came to more than the cost of the repair! £1000 for the repair, from what I remember £1500 for the car hire for two weeks! That's what pissed them off I think!
Sod managing all that crap myself. Clever marketing approach to it from Audi for some 'data capture' I suppose, but the clue is in the 'Free Policy', oh and they'll only 'guarantee' a maximum of £2,500 per claim, not much when you consider what a bill from Audi on an RS4 could be

These claims management schemes are a headache.
If you ever wonder why you pay so much for your insurance this is a good portion of the problem.

I agree, they do take advantage of the system, however if it wasn't for the dickheads 'crashing for cash', uninsured drivers and drunk drivers killing people, legitimate claims would be a bit more palatable.doodlebug wrote:These claims management schemes are a headache.

However, you wouldn't want to be denied the right to get your car repaired by someone you trusted and be forced to drive round in an old Renault Clio whilst your RS was being repaired by 'Bernie and Leepu' - especially if it wasn't your fault!
