Well, after 2 months of owning an S6 Avant purchased new in March this year the dealer let me drive the demo RS6 for the day and wow what a motor they are
My problem now is I want one and after making some initial enquiries they have come up with a reasonable deal but I just cant justify the money or can I
The loss on the S6 is heavy but the want for the RS6 compensates I think but my head hurts so I need a and some words of advice from you guys on here, what do you think

Tough question, I would be trying to find the money to get the RS6, I'd probably go as far as selling vital parts of my anatomy if it was my decision, however my better half is an accountant and she would say no and I'd go and sulk.
If you CAN afford it then do it, i wouldn't want to be in the position where I was to old to drive and think back and say I wish I had bought that car or this car.
I'll have to wait until they come down in price before I can even attempt to consider one (in about 5years time).
Don't get to drunk and buy it online
Good luck though
Nick

Yes, my heart says go for it but my head says "how much more you about to spend?" So in a real quandary.
I agree though, you are only hear once so need to enjoy life when you can and I don't want any regrets so think it's going to be yes. Just got to bash the dealer for a bit more discount first

You're going to take big depreciation hit for a fair while so just do it now.

Have you worked through the spec you'd want?
Do this and look at the numbers, deciding whether you're prepared to take the hit. If that's all positive then do the deal. But check on lead times. I'm half considering bailing, got a day at my local Porsche dealership coming.

I'm booked in at my local Porsche dealership as well, they gave me a call to test the new Macan. Be rude not to. Saturday I'm doing it.

Spec all sorted and £6785 of extras added.
They are offering a price for mine now and in Sept when the new one will be available and £2500 difference over three and a half months so not too bad. The loss on mine is huge though so think I will try and sell privately if I go ahead.
Need the Avant for the hound we have, a great big German Shepherd so a Porsche is out

: Just go for it if the money is not the issue or you spend a lot of years wishing you did...... The S6 is as you know is a very capable car but the extra "R" will make a world of difference ,
Post some pics when you pick it up .....

There's always Macan or Cayenne for dog lugging.
Though it'd have to be 911 for me, and probably turbo at that.
I assume they've got a car on their books already? Sept sounds early for a brand new order. I've got a long wait because of paint, wanted Estoril, now dropped, so having to go exclusive. No provisional build date though, and that is annoying me.

Stick a pair of RS blowers on it and go hunting for 911's

How does the gearbox feel about that?
Pretty sure 991 turbo would still be in the distance!

Yes, Sept is a reasonable date for a new order and agree, paint options is a real down side now. Had wanted Estoril Blue but dropped
Going to ask an alternate dealer for a price and go from there
Love the S6 and only done 2200 miles - should never have borrowed the RS6 but there you go

That's part of the problem with the S6 - you can't tune it much as the gearbox is weak.
Can someone confirm, are Audi Finance now offering £6k on a new RS6 as my dealer said it was or is only £3k?

It's 6k if you take the finance. 3k from the dealer, 3k from Audi UK. Dealers portion comes out of their margin.
