Looks the dogs bollox only to be ruined by stupid price tag / available in LHD only / OR VW bottle it
Come on VW build it !!!

2.0TSi
395bhp (278bhp per tonne)
0-60 3.9 secs
4 Motion 4x4
56kgs lighter at 1420kgs than the Golf R
Manual Gearbox
Flared arches and Wider track
Limited to 175mph but they recon it'll crack 190mph (need big balls to for that though)

Looks like a good package. Amazing this could really be available in an off the shelf road car, when you compare it's similar power to engines twice the size, such as the B7 RS4.

He messed up saying the current Golf R was permenant AWD though, lol

Very boy racer. Would be great fun though. Didn't VW do something like this with the last Golf as well?

Yep they did something similar kicking out a silly 600bhp with a rear mounted W12 engine - purely a concept http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/volkswagen ... wagen-golf
This one on the other hand looks like it could make production, it shares a lot with the new R and maybe the engine is lined up also for the new Audi TT.
Sub 4 second 0-60 time is nothing to be sniffed at 8)
The only flaw I can see is it going on sale in Germany only in LHD IF it makes production

Ford did it with the Focus RS500 so why not VW ???

Yes, it's going to be epic. Not too sure about the yellow accents though.

No.

Plenty of efficiencies to be gained from the 2.5TFSI yet.

I hope so. The day four pots become the norm I'll buy a frigging diesel.
