Have been offered a great deal on a '13 RRS
Drove it today, low Kms, massive step up from the Disco 3!

Any things I should look out for, other than chav birds flocking to it?
Oh and it's for my mrs

Black with tan interior BTW

Yeah but inside it's all posh! Perfect for the kids to drop food in!

The new 8 speed box and 3.0 are the game changer! Also it's half the cost of the '14 RRS which I was toying with after going to the launch.

Am torn

Old RRS was a chav mobile, ten a penny and not special IMO.

You'd be better off buying a 2012 old shape FFRR over a last-of-the-old-shape RRS

I ran a TDV8 in a RRS and really liked it. Yes it may portray a certain image depending on where you live but in my experience I have personally found more agro aimed at me in the Audi Q5. I searched for a long time to find one without the tinted windows which certainly helped.

To my mind’s eye, putting your money into an outgoing RRS is a better prospect than a FFRR which will plummet quicker than Felix Baumgartner in value. The RRS will be more aspirational in the used car market as well but both look quite dated against their new replacements, the RR more so. The RR is also a large old unit to manoeuvre around in an urban environment, the Sport is not exactly small either but it gives you half a chance which women seem to like.

Oh and you'd be mad to run either without a Land Rover warranty.

I do miss the old girl.

So warranty will be in place till 2018, service plan too

Saw the Vogue today, tech was a bit older, 2011 model, and it is HUGE! So would need to factor in panel beating as the Mrs will likely take out a few cars, pillars and Nissan Micra's
May have a lead on a lightly thrashed new RRS for not a lot more money

Either was the Disco is on her way, it's been an awesome near 5 years with some proper off-roading in Africa but she is old now!

Sounds like a plan.

Nice to see a Disco being used properly, never had a D3 but I did run a predecessor and enjoyed using it off-road. I felt the RRS was too nice to abuse.

Excellent. Cars like that should be kept in the family as an heirloom.

I have a good friend who has kept his Dads Series IIa which I was allowed to drive once; great charm and a proper workout driving it.

Very happy! Need to test it in the bush now!
