Guys,

Thinking of buying this...Audi MB ur-Quattro 1989

http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/ ... mb/1975657

Just need to be talked out of it please.

I'll start:

1. I live on a beach and it would rust.
2. Cramped engine, hard to work on with no Haynes manual and little documentation to think of.

...but just look at it :) (It would be my 3rd quattro, I have 2 already...)

Front bumpers had a smack for starters
The interior with the embroidery looks gash and it's got aircon and they are very nose heavy with aircon and handle like a rotty on a ten foot lead after a bitch on heat ... I got rid of a nice one of mine cos of that

You can tell that from these pictures - jeez, this is like gold-dust! Would you buy another or do you think only poor examples exist now?

Yeah .... Eyes like a sh1t house rat with these and that's before I start poking it . It's big money and needs to be really straight , the front indicators are wrong ( cheap tinted ones ) and alloys were never colour coded in the centres , just plain zermatt silver . I'd wager the striping kit is wrong too looking at the above
Wrong size tyres
It has early quattro script in the rear windows ( circa 83 my ) and the mb either had red or latterly non
