The right spec vs condition

Hello guys.

As you can see I'm new here and shortly I will be getting an S4 (B6).

Already aware of the potential problems that I should be looking for but my question is regarding the specification.
I agree when looking for a car find out with many many toys, Reading here and else where the same is applied on the S4, leather, nav, packs, etc...
I have found two cars out of three that I fancy but both are worlds apart when looking at spec.

One car only had one option fitted from new, Nav plus. But it's mint and full Audi service history and loads of work done. On paper I think I would find difficult to find a better car mechanically. This one is an auto, from 2004 and saloon with 60k

The other comes with every other toy people want to have, nav plus, full leather, armrest, sunroof, cruise. This one is manual, from 2003 and avant with 70k.
The looks very good but doesnt look as clean as the above car and service history isnt perfect.

Both cars are selling for the same money.

So, what would you go for? 60% of me wants the "basic" car with great history, but when I decide to sell it I might strougle.

Thank you in advance.

History tells you only so much, checking the car out properly will tell you more. When I was looking at these a few things were a must, being cruise, mfsw, manual, leather and nav.
I would go for the one with the spec as long as it runs right, is in good condition, and has decent history. Check the chain sound on start up, what service interval it is one etc.

What is your budget? Have you looked at any B7's? Only my opinion but i think they look so much more modern compared to the B6 and better looking.

Thank you.

I agree with you I just hope the high spec cars are in good order. If I have ??? after checking and driving I will for sure walk away. Don't want to buy a lemon.
