Oil advice

According to the service history my car has always been on the longlife service schedule. Seeing as I am doing all the servicing work on it myself I am changing it over to yearly regardless of miles driven. My confusion is should I use 5w30 or 5w40 oil in it now?

Either is fine.
the 40 oil has more polymer bonds so is more susceptible to breaking down over time (still over 12 months).
*slight* performance drop due to the oil being thicker.

How much oil is needed for an oil change?

Fancy getting mine done, it's on 6k. Any benefit to an early oil change on a new car?

I believe it is about 9l for a full change but handy to have some spare. There is always benefits to regular oil changes. Imagine using the same bath water for 12 months!
