Well, after debating for years on a rs4, then an s4....finally got something that has the 'quattro' is pretty nippy, looks good...and does 50mpg. Hopefully best of both worlds as i use it for work as well....go on, slag it off....!

Cheers mate, I know I'm on the wrong form for this, but I reckon it is a modern day rs4.....with cheaper running costs!

Good choice, I like them, get a mini review up when you get it.

I'd be interested in hearing what you think - I do like the thought of one.

Will give it a couple of weeks for full review, but first impressions are superb. It is certainly a drivers car compared to the new a4 avant sline I had. The steering on that was disgusting. The BMW is superb in all respects of driving feel and steering. Loads of power and the auto box with the paddles is wicked, especially in sport mode etc.

Gadgets on the car are excellent, the top spec media and sat nav links to google etc, so you have street view etc, and can send maps to the car etc. got to be the most tech loaded car going at the moment?

Interior finish is spot on, I would say one step up from the a4 I had personally.

Guess the proof will be in the winter driving, but for my needs, this is perfect. I so nearly bought a used m3....but got this for a few grand more, and does double to mpg with half insurance, low tax, and 3 year warranty etc.

I'd say go and try one, in fact, please do and report back....

Driven a a4 b8, and realised 30mpg from an s4 is not good for high miles!

My S5 has all the tech you mentioned above. It's called Audi connect - high and has been around for a bit, just not many cars have it specced.

Also the steering update that is out for the FL B8 cars has really sorted out the steering feel. I expect it would have sorted out your A4 as well.

Fair enough ! Cheeky remap on the 330d would be the fastest car in the world according to some pistonheads ;-)
