Hi all,
Picked up TTRS today, really happy with it.
Please could someone shine some light on the MMI connection to iPhone5.
I have purchased a lightening adaptor but it will still not load or play tunes from my iTunes library on iPhone 5.
Admittedly, this could be due to the fact that it thinks the music choice is crap.
Is the iPhone 5 compatible with MMI ? My car is 2011 if that makes any difference.
Bluetooth is connected fine, and the battery does charge through the new lightening adaptor. Just cannot get this to work for music.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Jay.

I 'believe' that the lightning adapter doesn't pass music traffic, which is really crap if true!

Even genuine Apple cables won't work with my 3G MMI and my IPhone 5, it will charge it but not bring the music up, can you not stream music via bluetooth on the newer models? If not, this seems to a good option, expensive for what it is though...

Thanks guys,
I have just used my old iPod (1978 model).
This seems to work fine. Have also ordered 2 memory cards for the slots.
Does seem very dated for a 2011 car, never mind. The exhaust note is soundtrack enough at times

If you have the 2011 RNS-E with the iPod AMI connector in the glove surely this would work for wireless bluetooth streaming?

I've just bought it, so will report back. Bargain and one of the best mods you can do if it works.

Glad I could help
A mate of mine has one in his Bose SoundDock and it works a treat in that!
Me, I've got a 160gb iPod classic which I use, my iPhone 5 is only 16gb and is full of apps so its useless for music

Guys - just to confirm: I have a 2010+ RNSE and the Audi Music Interface [AMI] installed in my glovebox . With a suitable AMI to iPod cable and genuine Apple lightning adaptor my iPhone 5 works 100% as it should via the media button on the RNSE. A quick swap to a mini usb AMI cable enables me to stream music from my HDD instead should I wish to do so. Alternatively, I use the "off" mode for a V8 soundtrack in my RS4

Thanks guys,
Will give it a go.
The Audi hard drive is a good idea too DK, wouldn't leave much room in there for my scissors etc
