I am going to upgrade the sound system in my S8 soon ( i dont have the Bose upgrade ) and was wondering if anyone has done this or has suggestions as to a good fit.
There are a few things i am considering/would like to do,
I want to keep the original satnav/stereo unit in the dash, but the speakers etc all need an upgrade due to a lack of depth in the sound, and the fact that i like my music to blow my ears off !!!! ( lots of heavy metal !!! )
I have the Audi phone kit that is situated in the passengers arm rest, i would like to change it to either a blue tooth unit or a hard wired unit which will fit my current phone ( HTC ),
A decent audio fit, speakers, small sub and amp ( it needs to be subtle in size as i use the boot ),
Can anyone also advise me as to where i can get an upgraded satnav disc, mine is the 2002 version that came with the car, i would like to get a newer version?
Hopefully you guys have got some suggestions to get me going???
Cheers.
Going to upgrade the ice in the S8.. Any suggestions

I did something similar in my B7.
I still have the sat nav as my headunit, but it goes into an Alpine PXA-H800 processor, then off to the amps and speakers. I cheated a little by buying a 2nd hand Bose amplifier and butchering the input plug to make an adapter that fits into the car loom on one side and the other side connects the RCAs and speaker wires to my amps. This is not ideal as it uses some of the original cars wiring but it is really convenient..
i started by changing the speakers but they sounded rubbish with the Bose amp (worse than standard) as it is eq'ed for those speakers in that car. when i changed the amp, things started to improve.
