Hi guys

I know about the speed cameras on the bridge heading southbound and the ones leading up to the tunnel northbound, but once I pay my 2 nuggets and drive on up to the tunnel, there are no average speed camers etc for this section currently correct?

I drove through it on Saturday when dropping the S3 off and I was dropping cogs then planting it and unleashing roaring, popping, banging hell. Problem was that I was concerned about average speed cams so I concertinaring (sp) the traffic behind me nicely! I also happend to go in the right lane when nothing was in the left and didn't cross over as the lines were solid, again, in case of cameras.....

From what I could see, it looked like therer were just standard monitoring cameras in the tunnel but there are bound to be some on here that know this tunnel well.

I am back up there this Saturday to pick the car up so can I drive though it with far less concern this time without the fear of getting a speeding ticket?

There are average cameras on the road leading up to the tunnel but none in the tunnel itself. Plus aim for the left tunnel as is smaller and the sound resonates through it sooooo much better

Shows how thick/blind I am. There are 2 tunnels? I don't get out much........

There sure is. The right tunnel was originally the north to south before the bridge was built. Aim for booths 1-5 for the best aim at the left tunnel

Cheers for the tip - the cameras on the run up to the booths to calm the traffic then I guess?

Would it be really sad to have Madam take a poor quality phone video while I make as much noise as possible on Sat, then post it on the tinterweb-like? Methinks that might be mildly toolish but I still want to.

......The Mrs said I made a loud roar coming into the tighter of the two tunnels last night.

That video is cool Nudenut. I tried to film mine on my ipad. Wasnt fantastic. The best bet is to get someone to follow you and film it for maximum effect
