Re: Track Toy
If you are going to do more track days it would make sense to get you own lid.

Re: Track Toy
Get a couple of fire proof balaclava's too to keep the helmet fresh.
+bag = approx £700.
Well worth it

Re: Track Toy
Totally agree with Paul.
If you cant afford an expensive helmet, then try these sold by Dave form opentrack. I looked at these first hand and look great. http://www.opentrack.co.uk/page30.htm

Money can't buy you love, but it can buy you a well sorted racecar

Re: Track Toy
Motorcycle helmets meet a different standard to race helmets and are not FIA approved, race helmets are much more expensive too, I am not sure what all difference's are but I was advised to get a FIA approved one.
Main difference's.
Race helmet fire retardant.
Designed for single higher impact than a motorcycle which is designed for numerous lower impacts.
Motorcycle helmets are normally not allowed on car track days, although my helmet has never been checked on a track day.
If you ever decide to go racing you will need a FIA approved helmet.
Hope this helps.

No matter where you go, there you are.
Re: Track Toy
I will have to reread my posts.........
Re: Track Toy
Had a couple of mods today
1. OEM cruise control retro fit - cant live without this !
2. Smoked side and indicator repeaters
3. OEM "TTS" LED DRL retro fit ... amazing !
these really lift the front end of the car into 2011
pics tomorrow as its too dark to capture
got black rings to go on the rear and black quattro badges for the front and rear
then its just wheels in titan to finish off the look
