if you are 30 and not 13 please type with proper words and not infantile txt speak, like wot u do m8

cutting you some slack, comparing a stock B5 to a B7, performance is similar albeit different in delivery (B5 turbos so good midrange torque but weaker at higher revs, B7 n/a so need to stir the stick a bit but with cracking top end)

looks - I like both

noise, brakes, ride, handling - B7 is in a different league

exclusivity - B5 better although B7 not exactly common

Also cuting you some slack t5 as I did earlier, is it really a fair comparison an RS6 with big turbos and a Milltek versus a standard B7 RS4?

And as for numbers 2000 units on total isn't big numbers, IIRC there were almost as many RS6/RS6+'s around. Yes the B5 was more exclusive however its handling was not as good. It is almost likened to the arguement that you can have as much power as you want, however if the car doesn't transfer it to tarmac or handle it it is pretty much pointless.

I doubt you'll get anywhere in a B5 quicker then you would in a B7, but the B7 would probably be far more compliant.

I personally love the look of the B7 compared to the B5 - bit more "angry" in my opinion, but it's all subjective. I normally prefer turbos but that 4.2 V8 is a corker...get some turbos on it and, um, you've got something like the C5 RS6 but with FSI

As for handling Stock B5 is not as good as Stock B7, but then that's not surprising. Still both awesome tools, but the DRC and revised quattro on the B7 really help.

t5 - a lot of owners take offence when someone comes onto an Audi website and then starts to slate the marque.

Let’s not be silly, did you honestly expect to make a derogatory post about the RS on an RS forum and have the vast majority of members agree with you...? I'm sure no-one meant to offend you but perhaps it would be better to be a little more tactful when making claims such as this.

The C6 RS6 is TFSI and a V10 one at that!

I'd rather have a GTR though...and thats from an Audi fanatic.

That said, if the C6 saloon weighs a sensible amount, with a 1.2 x stock tune, you'd be looking at nigh on 700hp in a four door saloon!

Monstrous!

I went round Oulton Park before Christmas in the wet and followed a stock B7 RS4. I have to say it WAS quick and handled really well.

It was wet and we were the only two cars "nailing it". You have to love the RS mark, whichever model it is!

Surely the more important question her is why does T5 (and anyone else aiming to be taken seriously), need to use 'text-speak' on a website\email?

Perhaps he is not used to typing, writing etc. not everyone is.

As for what he has talked about, done, posted, videoed etc. He will be answereable for that, just like anyone else on the forum.

If that is the same person it is certainly enlightening How could you do 200mph on the M621 in an RS6?

t5, is this you?
